What Copybox basically does is that it enables copywriters and creative directors, people that are not very tech savvy in general, to squeeze out everything that the Internet offers in terms of technology and data smartness.
Copybox is a product from Burt, a company that builds easy-to-use technology to enable better and more creative ideas. Out of 1000+ applying companies, it was selected as one of 50 products to be launched at TechCrunch50 on september 8, 2008.
CopyBox is built like an ordinary word processing software, but has some unique add ons that makes it easy to write interactive and dynamic texts.
1. Here is your canvas where you write down your text.
2. Here is your library with variables collected thousands of databases. It's all live data - everything from what's the weather like to what's on TV.
To make your text dynamic - for example making the text change in real time depending on weather - you simply drag'n drop the weather-variables.
In the scenario editor you define how the text will change when it is, for example, rainy.
You can then add the city-variable, light up the preview panel (1) and with the help of the scenario editor (2) you can simulate how the text would perform for different users.
In this example, the preview window is showing how the text would look like for a user watching the text in San Francisco, when the sun is shining.
And this is how the text would look like for a user watching the text in Paris, when it's cloudy.
Naturally Copybox have tons of more features but to see them you'll have to take part in our beta test. If you're an adventerous creative writer of sorts, be it blogger och copywriter, please send us an e-mail to gustav@byburt.com and persuade us why should join the very exclusive beta.
Thanks for your time!
